Volunteer for Red Zone

Red Zone relies on strong volunteers. There are plenty of great opportunities to get involved

Become a volunteer in these areas:

  1. Security – This team is responsible for everyone’s safety at the event.
  2. Hosting - This team takes care of out-of-town guests to make sure their experience in Edmonton is great.
  3. Squad Leader – This team will host a squad of students to make sure they get from drill to drill and that they stay safe and engaged during the day.
  4. Drill Coach – This team will be responsible for running each drill for the kids.
  5. Setup / Tear Down – This team will help set up/clean up the Red Zone at Foote Field.
  6. First Aid Team – This team will be our first responders to students.  They will be the ones to make the call if we need to make further calls for assistance as it relates to injuries and the health of all delegates.
  7. Administration Team – These are highly skilled individuals who will help with event communication and details in the days leading up to the Red Zone.
  8. Guest Relations Team – These individuals will help answer questions from students and the public during the Red Zone.
  9. Social Media / Media Team – This team will be responsible for capturing the event and communicating through different social media channels on what is going on at Red Zone.
  10. Production Team - These individuals will help with all areas of the Red Zone in sounds and social media interaction.  
  11. Press Team – These individuals will be the ones responsible for communication with media outlets.  All interviews and articles will be set up and passed through this team.
  12. Event Team - This team will help with the overall development of the Red Zone Event They will be serving the Executive Team.
  13. Respite Support - This team will help us design and carry out individualised plans with students of Neurodiversity & various abilities.
  14. All-Star Game Team - This team will run the All-Star game.  They will take care of drafting the students, officiating and keeping everyone one time.
  15. Team Meal – This team will help form the look and feel of the banquet.  They will help with all areas including the meal, setup, awards, program, messaging.
  16. Awards show - This team will help develop all the details for the awards show.
  17. Mom’s Legacy Brunch - This team will help form the look and feel of the banquet.  They will help with all areas including the meal, set up and messaging.
